Whatever you think of Mel Gibson (Mad Max, Lethal Weapon 1, 2, 3, Conspiracy Theory, Braveheart, Ransom), he still has a knack for a great action flick! In “Edge of Darkness”, Gibson plays a Boston detective who runs a behind-the-scenes investigation of his own daughter’s murder. His character is passionate and determined and Gibson is spot on. There are gory parts, as this is a huge cover up involving government, corporations and weapons. result: lots of bloodshed.
We liked it and would recommend it if you’re in the mood for some shoot em’ up!
Note: Ironic that this movie was probably made a year ago, and one of the players is a republican politician from MA! who thought that would be happening in 2010… except they portray him as a corrupt idiot and I know Scott Brown doesn’t fit that description.
